Biography

My name is Ponmuma Gabin Merveille Petit, and I am based in Bambili, Bamenda, Cameroon. I have an academic background in Accounting and Finance, with an MSc in Accounting from the University of Bamenda. I also hold a BSc in Accounting, a BBA in Accounting and Finance, and a Higher Postgraduate Diploma in Technical Teacher Training (DIPET II) in Accountancy.

I have been teaching for three years and have gained experience in accounting, finance, research, project writing, and student mentorship. So far, I have mentored over 540 students working on their final-year projects at HND, Bachelor's, and Master's levels. I guide students in choosing research topics, developing proposals, preparing questionnaires, analyzing data, and writing their research reports.

I am also a project writer and the founder of Tchoupe Palace Academy, where I support learning and professional development through training in research and data analysis. Through the academy, I have successfully trained and certified five batches of participants, helping them develop practical skills they can use in their academic and professional work.

In addition, I serve as Programme Coordinator at the Entrepreneurship and Social Research Center (ESRC), Cameroon. I also serve as Head of the School of Business at Prestige Higher Institute of Professional Training (PHIPT) and Director of the School of Business and Management Sciences at Contemporary International University Institute Cameroon (CIUIC). These responsibilities have strengthened my leadership, communication, coordination, and teaching skills.

I am familiar with accounting software such as Sage and QuickBooks, Microsoft Office tools, SPSS, and STATA. I enjoy making lessons simple, clear, and practical so that students can understand their subjects and apply what they learn in real-life situations.

As an educator and mentor, I believe every student can make progress when given proper guidance, patience, and encouragement. My goal is to help learners build their knowledge, improve their confidence, and achieve their academic and professional goals while continuing to grow in my own career.

Outside work, I enjoy reading, driving, entrepreneurship, and learning more about forensic accounting. I speak English very well and have a good command of French.
